COMMUNITY PATROL
UNIPOL Global Police Academy promotes community patrol as a proactive approach to enhancing public awareness, neighborhood engagement, and community safety. Community patrols emphasize visible service, observation, documentation, and timely reporting of public safety concerns while fostering positive relationships with residents, businesses, schools, and community organizations.
Community Service Officers are trained to conduct professional patrols by observing and reporting suspicious activity, identifying potential safety hazards, assisting during community events, supporting emergency preparedness efforts, and serving as a visible resource for the communities they support. Community patrols are intended to encourage crime prevention, strengthen public confidence, and promote cooperation among community members and public safety partners.
Community patrol activities are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, organizational policies, and established protocols. Community Service Officers do not exercise governmental law enforcement authority unless separately authorized or commissioned by the appropriate governmental agency.
